PPCLI Association Dedication Parade at Patricia Park
10 Aug 19 @ 10:00 - 11:00 MDT
On 10 August 2019, the PPCLI Association with the support of 1 PPCLI and the PPCLI Foundation will conduct a Dedication Parade at Patricia Park in Edmonton. The Roll of Honor at Patricia Park list the names of 1,866 members of the Regiment who died during the First and Second World Wars, Korea, United Nations operations and Afghanistan. We will add the names of eight Patricias who died during the Second World War (SWW) and were recently approved by the Regimental Guard for addition to the Roll of Honour. It would be outstanding if we can dedicate 105 Personal Legacy Stones on the 105th Anniversary of the Founding of the Regiment.
This is a perfect opportunity to acknowledge those who are not on the Roll of Honour. There are many soldiers who died during training, on exercise, because of health issues after release or retirement or more tragically because of suicide. Or you may wish to install a Legacy Stone in memory of a friend or fellow soldier. The cost of installing a Legacy Stone is $320 of which $160 is a charitable donation. I have asked the PPCLI Foundation to donate a portion of the proceeds from each stone dedicated on 10 August 2019 to the Hamilton Gault Memorial Fund. This will allow the Association to continue to support Regiment by maintaining Regimental Memorials, Funding PPCLI Affiliated Cadet Corps, awarding Student Bursaries and continuing our Mental Health and Suicide Awareness Training in support of Veterans and their Families.
If you wish to order a Legacy Stone it must be done by 10 July 2019, complete the attached brochure and mail it with a cheque for $320 payable to the PPCLI Foundation
