PERRY, James “Jim” Edmund – December 8, 1932 – July 20, 2019 Passed away peacefully at Providence Care on July 20, 2019, which was his residence for the past 4 years. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth “Betty” Perry (Caddick). Step-father to Samuel R. Smith (Suzanne), and Elizabeth Young (Ron). Dear grandpa to Susan Young (Dwayne), Cindy Young (Donald), Glenn Smith (Mel), Michael Smith. Cherished great grandpa to four and to great-great grandpa to one. Survived by siblings Susan (Donald) French, Robert (Leona), Ruth (Cyril) Day, Jean CNJ. and predeceased by Katherine (Ouriel) Day, Mary, William (Darlene) and by his parents James Perry and Laura MacDonald. Jim was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and joined the Armed Forces 1952. He then moved to Kingston in 1966, were he joined Corrections Canada as an employee and retired after 35 years. Jim was also a Life Member and volunteer at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 631. Jim was a career chef and loved volunteering with the Legion 631, Worthington Park Clubhouse and church.
